We produced a brand polish for the Blacksmiths, bringing the spice that was needed to fully round off the beautiful offering of this gastropub in Clayworth, Nottinghamshire.

Excelling in its food offering, this family-owned pub puts its very own chef proprietor in the kitchen, which makes all the difference. The care taken in sourcing ingredients is remarkable and the seasons are celebrated deliciously with an amazing specials board that goes in BIG for seafood.

A gentle evolution of the logo sees typography that feels nostalgic, robust and well-forged. We’re confident and proud through typographic application here, which speaks to the bold and forward flavours in the menu. Illustration integrates to portray beautiful ingredients, in a way that depicts provenance and the humble roots of good rustic food.

Since the interiors of Blacksmiths are purposefully welcoming, so brand colour palette plays to their unexpectedly eclectic and beautifully designed flair (none more so than within their individually designed bedrooms).

Beyond the brand polish, we’re now helping the Blacksmiths with branded components including a fresh website, seasonal menu design and content capture with a lifestyle feel for the social media channels we manage for them.
