Ding dong merrily on pie

Picture Smiths Christmas do’s are always a special treat and this one was up there with the best.

Starting bright and early, we set off in convoy to Penistone for a day of our favourite things – food, creativity and laughs.

First stop, Penistone Pies & Puddings for a pork pie masterclass. We love a provenance story and this one made our heart sing – Jacque told us of grandad Freddy, his pie press and traditional recipe that are still used today.

Always up for a bit of friendly competition, we were challenged on our baking skills and pastry art – congratulations to Rob for winning Star Baker (again!) for his pastry art skills and Rebecca for best bake.

Then onto Niove’s for an afternoon of board games – a room full of designers takes Pictionary to a whole new level!

For dinner, we were to indulge in dinner at 3 Acres. It was the first visit for some of our team and they were seriously impressed. As a client of Picture Smiths, we know the Acres menu inside out and were desperate to try some of the dishes we’ve been admiring from the office, in particular the famous French onion soup and Porn Star Martini, and they didn’t disappoint.
